Title: Ultraflexible organic ferroelectrics and circuits for energy – efficient biomedical pressure matrix sensing
Medical monitoring devices used to be bulky and rigid, so besides being uncomfortable they potentially bias and distort recorded data. Therefore, it is very attractive to employ organic electronics and sensors, which are flexible or even conformable, so that they neither disturb the monitored subject nor the measured data.
Ultraflexible energy-efficient pressure-sensing applications for medical purposes using organic ferroelectric transducers of P(VDF-TrFE) and organic circuits are presented which were realized within a collaboration between Osaka university (Sekitani lab) and JOANNEUM RESEARCH.
